Comprehensive Community Health Assessment Report (CATCH)

The Miami-Dade County Health Department is pleased to announce the release of the 2004 Comprehensive Community Health Assessment Report (CATCH). This report updates and expands the information in a previous version issued in the year 2000.

The CATCH project is the result of a partnership between the Miami-Dade County Health Department, the Health Council of South Florida, the Alliance for Human Services and Allegany Franciscan Foundation Dade County, Inc., and the University of South Florida.

The overall purpose of this study is to characterize the health status of the residents of Miami-Dade County and to identify areas of strength and present opportunities for improvements.

In this cycle, the Hispanic CATCH has been included, with the purpose of characterizing the health status of the Hispanic residents of Miami-Dade County and to identify both the health status achievements and opportunities for improvement within this population.
